Clinton Lee YoungPersonal FactsClinton Lee Young is a wrongfully convicted man on death row, in Texas, United States. Born, July 19, 1983 prematurely due to a stress induced labor brought on as a result of the abuse that his mother suffered at the hand of his Father. Shortly after leaving the hospital, Clinton's Mother moved out taking Clinton with her. She was just 18 years old. Clinton's Mother eventually met with his Father to discuss divorce issues. His Father abducted Clinton and agreed to return him only if Clinton's Mother agreed to not seek child support. When Clinton was first born he was named after his Father. He was William Clifton Young the Third. After the divorce, his Mother changed his name to Clinton Lee Young. It can be agreed that this moment of chaos in Clinton's young life paved the way for a life of conflict and turmoil. A few years later, his Mother remarried, and remains so. At a very young age Clinton was diagnosed with Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. So began a life of being bounced from Doctor to Doctor and Parent to Parent. On the Father's side of Clinton's family, he has two older half sisters, Renee and Christy, and two half Brother's who are twins: Dino and Dano. All of these siblings are older than Clinton. From the marriage of Clinton's Mother and Step Father is Clinton's younger half sister; Jessi. Also, his older Step Sister, Brandi from his Step Father's previous marriage. Clinton's Father abused alcohol and drugs. He as well, was very abusive to all his wives and children. He has been arrested for drunk driving and for physically assaulting Clinton as a child. For many years of Clinton's childhood, his Step Father as well suffered from an addiction to alcohol and maintained a chaotic relationship with Clinton. Growing up, Clinton has always been described as very bright and intelligent. Though he was very hyper and this resulted in conflicts with schoo l administrators... At eleven years old, Clinton was sent to mental health placement due to behavorial problems in school. The placement kicked him out for the problems he was sent there for! No one considered that Clinton was acting out due to physical and emotional abuse that he had suffered as a child. At 14, Clinton was sent to another placement as a result of being arrested for crimes such as theft of a motor vehicle, theft of a firearm, and burglary of a building. The placement began and intensive medication trial. Due to neglect on the Doctor's part, Clinton was medicated on powerful stimulants Stimulants are normally given to children with hyperactivity issues, as it has a reverse effect on these kids. However Clinton had a form of allergic reaction to the medication and it made him aggressive. After several fights, he was removed from the placement and sent to the Texas Juvenile Prison System. Which has since been rocked by scandel due to guards physically and sexually abusing juvenile inmates. The environment was like a gladiator arena for kids. The only reason Clinton was sent to the Juvenile Prison System instead of a more restricted mental health treatment facility was due to the same Doctor that was improperly medicating him. Doctor Helen Short classified Clinton as Anti-Social personality Disorder. Something that everyone that knows him, agrees that does NOT fit him! The guidelines for psychologist indicate that no person under the age of 18 is to be given such a classification... Clinton was only 14. There is no treatment for this. So instead of going to a treatment facility to properly address Clinton's problems, he was sent to a violent juvenile facility. Since arriving on death row, Clinton has dedicated his life to any form of resistance against the oppressive system that he can do.
